About the event

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore two transformational spiritual paths and the parallels between them. 12-Step Spirituality started in the 1930s and quickly became the standard program of recovery for addiction (including alcohol, drugs, codependency, sex, gambling, and more).  A Course In Miracles is a spiritual curriculum that was first published in 1976 and has been embraced around the world.  Each of the 12 steps will be discussed along with the deeper meaning of the principles behind the steps as well as the parallel teachings of A Course in Miracles. A Course in Miracles is introduced as a spiritual path that can take people to, what the Alcohol Anonymous Big Book calls, the 4th dimension of spirituality. A Course in Miracles offers a self-study program that lifts the ‘veil of forgetfulness’ so that through the practice of true forgiveness and the guidance of a Higher Power or Holy Spirit, we can remember our Oneness with God. The assignments will invite each person to reflect on their own addictive choices as well as the defenses which can block our awareness of our true Self as a loved Child of God.  This class will offer learning opportunities through the information offered but also through group discussion and support.
